Duck Blinds
Vernacular structures of the most minimal & clever type, duck blinds crouch throughout Virginia's thousands of miles of waterways. Sometimes, either because of elemental destruction or simply to control hunting activity by others, no structure exists at all, just a yellow permit.

Built with aesthetics hooving between clubhouse & meditation platform, ornamentation & functionalism, fortification & decay, stationary blinds are occupied by humans about 60 days a year, & by all manner of animals the rest.

All these pictures have been taken from self-powered boats or on foot, in salt & fresh water, in Virginia and New York.
