Change is the buzzword of the 2008 presidential campaign what it can be, when it can happen, why its necessary, who can pull it off. The messages of our literature and media from psychological self-help to diet regimes, from natural resource management to entrepreneurial programs are predicated on the imperative for change. From the first explorers, individuals have come to the land that became the USA to remake themselves and the world in which they live. Transformation is as iconically American as apple pie.
CHANGE: The Channel addresses this belief in the positive power of change.
CHANGE: The Channel was commissioned as part of University of California-Santa Cruz's Interupt Intervene symposium and installed at gallery sites in San Francisco and Santa Cruz during May 2008. The broadcast was run 24 hours a day/7 days a week during the exhibitions.
